As a special
education teacher, I work with a wide variety of students,
many of them with sensory needs. As I looked for products
for these students, I was disappointed by the quality and
the cost of the weighted blankets. So, one weekend, my mother
and I began to experiment with how to make a blanket that
was both soft and yet durable enough to hold the weight. After
a few revisions, we ended up with a product that many of my
students have found “heavenly”.
